WINDOWS GUIDE · 4 STEPS

Fill and sign a PDF.

Complete a form, add a visible signature and keep a checked copy of the finished PDF.

  1. Open a copy of your form.

Keep the original unchanged. Start with a sample document while using the invited-tester preview.

  2. Fill the fields, or add text.

Click an existing form field to enter a value. If the form is a flat page without fields, use a text box to add your answer in the right place. This adds text; it does not rewrite the original page.

  3. Place your signature.

Draw a signature or import a signature image, then position and size it on the page. Check that it does not cover other information.

  4. Save, close and reopen.

Save your completed PDF under a new name. Reopen that saved file and check the field values, text and signature positions before sharing it.

A useful distinction

A visible signature is different from a certificate-based digital signature. Check what the recipient requires. This guide does not promise legal acceptance or certificate trust.
